Hexham Abbey required a new, responsive mobile-friendly website that would provide a simple Content Management System, allowing the internal team to update the website quickly, easily and often. The website also needed an eCommerce element so that products could be sold online and an events listing page to promote the organisation’s events and encourage visitors.
r//evolution designed and built a modernised website for Hexham Abbey which represented their brand identity and organisation well. The website is responsive, offering a great user-experience regardless of device so people can use and interact with the site whether they’re on a desktop, laptop, tablet or mobile.
The website can be easily updated, allowing additional information and new events to be placed on the site swiftly when needed. With simple, straight-forward navigation, visitors can find what they’re looking for easily and quickly too – especially with effective features such as 10 things to see and do so people can plan their visits to the Abbey and find out lots of interesting detail ahead of their trip.
We also created a streamlined online shop section where visitors can browse products and make purchases, providing an online income stream for the Abbey. Overall the new website is fully on-brand and met the client’s objectives and brief.
